Trailer of the Day: THE WOLVERINE

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

This one looks awesome – I have complete faith in this one being one of the best of the entire X-Men franchise – mainly – JAMES MANGOLD – skilled director with an impressive CV. 3:10 to Yuma, Girl Interrupted, Walk the Line, Cop Land – he picks his films, about one every two years and makes them good. He has made nothing I loathe and is new and fresh to this genre – I am excited  Originally Darren Aronosfsky was directing this baby but pulled out as he did not want to be away from his family for two years. I also find it really strange that a lot of those Japanese fight scenes are actually outside a friend’s apartment in Surry Hills

We will also have some vulnerable and then, no doubt angry, Logan and nice to see a Jean Grey appearance  What is not to like?
