Appalling trash movies compiled by the Salty Popcorn Kernels. We didn’t all hate them but as a group list it’s accurate for a collective. In order from 20 to 1 – they are all dreadful but they get worse and worse haha. May I present the appalling Top 20 Shit Movies of 2016.
20: ASSASSIN’S CREED
19: BATMAN V SUPERMAN: THE DAWN OF JUSTICE
18: RIDE ALONG 2
17: BAD MOMS
16: GODS OF EGYPT
15: INFERNO
13: MOTHER’S DAY
12: SUICIDE SQUAD
11: WARCRAFT
10: ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS
9. NOW YOU SEE ME 2
8: THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER’S WAR
7: INDEPENDENCE DAY 2: RESURGENCE
6: BAD SANTA 2
5: BEN HUR
4: GRIMSBY
3: MASTERMINDS
2: ALLEGIANT
The move that unraveled a lot of respect for Robert De Niro and made me lose every ounce of respect for Zac Efron. Complete sell out of talent and money. Abominable.

I saw 11 of these and don’t disagree with a single one being on the list.
Have you guys published your lists yet Jay?
[…] Only five out of the twenty films are commercial movies. Roadshow came out in front as my best distributor for the year with 5/20 films. Entertainment One is right behind them with 4/20 and big love to Madman with 2/20 but it should be noted Madman hold the first and second positions in my list. And added love to Transmission Films with 2/20 also. It should also be noted this is my first TOP 20 that does not have a U.S. movie in the #1 position. Further to this list – if you would like to see our collaborative list for the TOP 20 WORST FILMS OF 2016 click HERE. […]
Haha I avoided every.single.one of these films and I’m glad I did. Sadly not even watching The Deer Hunter or Raging Bull can wipe the promo for Dirty Grandpa from my brain.
Hi Jason,
It looks like most of the “Bad movies” are mostly those that required sci-fi or the CGI parts. I agreed with you that the Divergent: Allegiant, Independence day and warcraft were totally “Not my cup of tea” indeed.
Also, keep up the awesome reviews and happy new year 2017~
Regards,
Wilson
Thanks so much Wilson – CGI is in everything now – a lot of the best films also have it. But when films rely on the CGI and ignore the story then they are in the poop.
Good to hear from you my old blogging friend – Happy New Year to you also.
