AMY | AMY WINEHOUSE DOCUMENTARY TRAILER

Amy Winehouse (14 September 1983 – 23 July 2011) was an English singer and songwriter known for her deep vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres, including soul (sometimes labelled as blue-eyed soul), rhythm and blues, jazz and reggae. She was a musical force that took the world by storm, no one can deny the talented chords she had, her rise to fame was incredible and with the fame came the temptation and trauma of being in the spotlight, so sadly, on 23rd July 2001, she passed away from alcoholic poisoning. The team behind the amazing SENNA bring us this haunting and sad documentary of the deceased marvel and they bring it mostly in her own words and with the support of her relatives. It is being released in Australia from Entertainment One Australia and New Zealand in July, 2015.

The trailer is pretty bloody powerful, I was a huge Winehouse fan and personally cannot wait for this movie – in fact I may pop on a bit of BACK TO BLACK now. RIP.
