Carrie was one of the most scariest films of all time when I was a kid, it released in 1976 and has been synonymous with proms and school formals since this time. It was originally written in 1974 by some unknown author guy who is basically a one hit wonder – Stephen King was his name, you have probably never heard of him 🙂
If you are unsure of the plot of the films, this being the third adaptation – it is all about Carrie, a poor misunderstood girl with a psycho religious freak crazy mother who mistreats Carrie beyond belief. Added to this is the complete lack of self esteem that has been crushed out of her so, at school, she is a walking target for ridicule. Carrie soon discovers she has telekinetic powers which means she can move things with her mind. The abuse grows and grows, throw in some pig’s blood and a poor little girl’s bottled emotions may implode, give her the ability to move things with her mind and shit will hit the fan.
Now the Carrie remake is not hitting cinemas in Australia until November 14th this year but in the lead up to this we have the trailer to whet your appetite, a pic and poster of Chloë Grace Moretz as Carrie, god she is doing good for herself, and thanks to Hachette Publishing, via one of the occasional Salty Kernels, Anna Hayward, we have 3X PACKS of STEPHEN KING NOVELS FOR YOU TO WIN AND READ. I do apologise but this is only available to Australian residents.
The pack contains 3 novels each:
CARRIE (of course)
UNDER THE DOME
To win one of these – we are going to mix it up a bit. Time to throw in some Twitterverse.
